Toronto, Canada (PressExposure) January 08, 2009 -- GAO RFID Inc. ( recommends this rugged UHF Gen 2 RFID reader/writer with two inputs and four outputs. It has a maximum reading distance of 8m and a maximum writing distance of 4m. Manufactured with an IP56 protection rating, this Gen 2 RFID reader/writer is ideal for use in industrial applications including warehousing, parking, distribution and shop floor where high read rate is required. The high performance reader is compliant with ISO18000-6B and ISO 18000-6C standards.

This portable Gen 2 RFID reader/writer, model 216011, operates in a frequency range from 860MHz to 960MHz and can be used worldwide. It is shipped with software that offers extensive controls such as full antenna behavior control and control of its digital I/O channels. The portable reader can be used with 1 to 4 linear or circular polarized antennas and supports multi-directional reading; four female TNC are provided as antenna connections. It includes six LEDs and has RS232 and 10/100 Ethernet interfaces for communication. This UHF Gen 2 RFID reader functions stably even in high or low temperature environments.
