San Diego, CA (PressExposure) February 10, 2009 -- President Barack Obama is surrounded by a squad of well-armed Secret Service agents - but these days it's easier than ever to get your picture taken with him.
Thanks to a new website, [http://www.mypicwith.com/] http://www.mypicwith.com, all you have to do is send in your picture and professional graphic designers will seamlessly integrate your picture into a real picture with the president.
"My inspiration first hit when I read the front page of the Harvard Crimson (Harvard's student newspaper) the day after the election, and saw a picture of Harvard students proudly lining up to have their photos taken alongside a cardboard cutout of Obama," according to Brian McElroy, co-founder, along with Pedro Sostre, of My Pic With Obama.
"So I figured, why not take it one step further and allow people to have their images professionally inserted into a real photo with Obama? And that's exactly what Pedro and I have done with MyPicWith.com."
McElroy, an entrepreneur, is a Harvard graduate and the founder and president of McElroy Tutoring, Inc. ([http://www.mcelroytutoring.com/] http://www.mcelroytutoring.com)
He teamed up with longtime friend and fellow entrepreneur Pedro Sostre, founder and president of Sostre & Associates, ([http://www.sostreassoc.com/] http://www.sostreassoc.com) to create the My Pic With site.
"A customer just ordered a picture of Obama with her mother because it was her mother's birthday. She said it was the perfect gift, because her mother is just in love with Obama," Sostre said.
Of course, Sostre and McElroy recognize that Obama's not the only popular politician out there - and in upcoming weeks, they're going to expand their "my pic with" offerings to include Sarah Palin, John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and other famous figures.
"Our service is designed to be easy for users. They don't have to look around for the perfect photo or worry about cropping them, they just send us what they have and our designers take it from there. Also, since the process is not automated, the end result is a much better looking product," according to Sostre.
To get their picture, all customers have to do is send in one to three digital photos and select the Obama picture that they'd like to be dropped into.
