God Always Prospers His People

Peru, IN (PressExposure) May 09, 2009 -- In this time of recession when people all over the world are having a hard time. When it seems like there is no hope in this time of chaos. I have some good news for all of you. God always prospers his people, and provides for them. The bible has so many stories of how God prospered his people in times of famine. God prospered Abraham when there was famine in the land. Abraham went to Egypt because there was food their. God watched over Abraham and made him a great nation. In Genesis 13:6 it says that the land could not support Abraham and Lot while they stayed together. Because their possessions were so great. They had to go there separate ways.

When you really study this it is pretty fasinating. You know that God had to have blessed them so much if the land could not support them and all their possesions. There are certain things that God requires from his people, so that God can bless them. When you read in Deuteronomy 28 it says there is blessings for being obedient to God. ( Deuteronomy 28 ) If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth. All these blessings will come upon you and accompany you if you obey the Lord your God:

You will be blessed in the city and blessed in the country.

The fruit of your womb will be blessed, and the crops of your land and the young of your livestock - the calves of your herds and the lambs of your flocks.

Your basket and your kneading trough will be blessed.

You will be blessed when you come in and blessed when you go out.

The Lord will grant that the enemies who rise up against you will be defeated before you. They will come at you from one direction but flee from you in seven.

The Lord will establish you as his holy people, as he promised you on oath, If you keep the commands of the Lord your God and walk in his ways. Then all the peoples on earth will see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they will fear you. The Lord will grant you abundant prosperity - in the fruit of your womb, the young of your livestock and the crops of your ground - in the land he swore to your forefathers to give you.

The Lord will open the heavens, the storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless all the work of your hands. You will lend to many nations but will borrow from none. The Lord will make you the head, and not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. Do not turn aside from any of the commands I give you today, to the right or to the left, following other gods and serving them.

Then there is also cursing if you do not obey him. God gives his people the choice. He says in his word that we have the choice to choose blessings or the curse. You can read about the curse in Deuteronomy 28:15 and the rest of chapter 28.

God loves his people so much that he wants us to have the best of everything. He wants to pour us out a blessing that we can not contain it. It says in Matthew 6:33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. That is one of the things you have to do, is to seek God first. He loves us and wants to have a relationship with us. God created us to have a relationship with him. He loves us so much, that is why he sent Jesus to die on the cross for us. But in todays world people are going around and filling their selves with drugs and alcohol and all kinds of other things. In stead they should be seeking God and his kingdom first.

On further study of Gods word you will find all kinds of scriptures about the blessings of God. You also need to remember that God is your provider and if you serve him and love him he will provide for you. He always makes away for his people. One of the names of God is Jehovah - Jireh - My Provider ! You are the one who makes provision for me ! You forsee all my needs and have provided redemption for me ! Thank You for sending Your Son ! In Christ, You always provide for me ! I love this name of God it is just one of his awesome names.

When you read about Moses in the word, you will see that God even blessed him. When he had to go to Egypt and tell Pharaoh to let God's people go. God made sure that he got to take the wealth of Pharaoh with him. So you see God will take care of his people, its a choice we all have to make. We can choose to obey him and be blessed. Or we can choose not to obey him and be cursed. My prayer is that everyone who reads this will make the choice to be blessed.
