Pasay City, Philippines (PressExposure) September 10, 2009 -- There have been numerous bakeshops in the Philippines today, selling different kinds of cakes and pastries. Majority of these bakeshops were only introduced from other countries such as Délifrance and BreadTalk. But there are also other bakeries in the Philippines that Filipinos could consider it as their own. One in particular is Goldilocks Bakery. Goldilocks, which is usually the name that Filipinos would call it, is a bakery that specializes in providing cakes and pastries for Filipinos across the country. It is considered as one of the oldest and one of the most successful bakeshops in the Philippines.

This is because, not only does it provide some of the most popular collections of cakes and pastries, including cakes made for certain celebrations such as for children's birthdays, Goldilocks is also known to provide some of the best collection of Filipino favorite cuisines. These includes those made from pork (such as Binagoongang Baboy, Bopis, Chinese Pork Adobo, Dinuguan), beef (such as Beef Caldereta, Bistik Tagalog, Kare-Kare), chicken (such as Chicken BBQ Stick), seafood (such as Bangus Steak, Rellenong Bangus), Palabok, and vegetables (such as Lumpiang Ubod, Laing, Pinakbet). The opening day total sales of P574 back in 1966 has multiplied thousand of times over, reaching a system-wide sales of P5.9 billion by the end of 2007. Other than in the Philippines, Goldilocks have also expanded on other countries.
The first expansion that Goldilocks did outside of the country was in California in 1976. From there, Goldilocks continued to growth up to this day. Goldilocks has expanded to other key cities in the United States such as San Francisco, Las Vegas, Sacramento, and San Diego, for a total of 19 U.S stores. Goldilocks is also planning on opening their doors in East Coast as well as with other parts of the state. Goldilocks have also opened two branches in Canada. Goldilocks has also tapped markets in several Southeast Asian countries such as Thailand, Singapore, and Hong Kong. Moreover, it has received a considerable number of requests to open in the Middle East, mostly from Overseas Filipino Workers and expatriates.
This rapid expansion and growth in the food market industry wasn't made possible without the good thinking of its three owners, which are Milagros, Clarita, and Doris who shared the same dream of building their own bakeshop and serving the Filipino people across the world.
