Wilmslow, United Kingdom (PressExposure) May 14, 2009 -- UK- Feeling the heat of intense competition from social Medias like Face book, Google the search engine major has launched a new tool for web searchers perfect the results when they search for their name online. According to web analysts, 95% of the web searchers have searched for their name online at some point of time or other. It might be out of the curiosity to know other persons with same name or for an information regarding events occurred in long past and attended by the surfer himself/herself. With Google profile all these things will be easier now and the surfer can also control what others see about him/her.
Google profile can be created by visiting the Google profile page. It can also be linked to the blog, Picasa albums, Twitter and Facebook profiles. Insiders at Google think that this new tool will give more voice to the web searchers. Brian Stoler, a senior software engineer at Google is of the view that search engines can not be perfect in displaying the exact results people search for. But there is always a chance for betterment and Google profile is a giant leap forward in this direction.
The use of Google profiles is easy. Users can see links on Google for web surfers of similar names and interests. Clicking on the link leads the surfer to the Google profile page and there they can register and create own profile. Its functionality is more or less like the social networking websites. Here also the users can post photos, contact details and other personal information.
