Maharaja - The brilliance of India's Royal Courts: Too many permanent galleries are getting opened in the year 2009 including Renaissance Medieval Galleries in December. Two major expositions are programmed to take place, one of which has already begun on 10th October 2009 and will carry on until 17th January 2010. The exhibition of Baroque display in the generous Maharaja exhibition will showcase the reserves of the 18th century Mughal kingdom.
Not only this, but the exhibition displays an extraordinary gathering of various art works when the maharajas ruled. This valuable collection was previously owned by a general Robert Clive who worked for the East India Company. These works of art have begun with the fall down of the Mughal Empire in the early 18th century and the works are carried till the closing stages of the British rule in the year 1947. Robert Clive helped in securing control of India for Britain.
