Cheltenham, Gloucestershire United Kingdom (PressExposure) July 01, 2008 -- Are you a hard-working nurse?
Do you want to be happier in your life?
Do you feel that you spend your life looking after others and never have time for yourself?
Great! The solution is here!
There is now an online and offline community for nurses who are looking for positive solutions to challenges in their everyday lives. It has been created by nurse and life coach, Claire Westwood and has grown from her own experience of being a burned-out Ward Sister to a visionary, coach and entrepreneur.
The focus of many nursing websites is on the nurses' professional role, but the caring vocational nature of nursing means that many nurses forget to put themselves on their 'list' for TLC!

Claire's top tips are: Look at the amount of time you spend in a week looking after others - in your job and for your family. Identify how much 'me' time you have (or don't!!) Decide how much time you would like - you need at least an hour a day....
What needs to change to give you that time? Do you need to give yourself permission to take time out, delegate some jobs to others or 'lower your standards' for housework to allow you to take a bath, go for a walk, attend a flower-arranging class, spend some time catching up with a friend's news or listen to some music?
Put times for exercise, relaxation, fun and love activities in your diary and keep to them.
Invest in a coach to help you to achieve better balance.
Make your own life, health and happiness important!
Visit the website, join the happynurses community and start to make some positive changes for yourself!
