Help for Those Stuck in the Grieving Process

, (PressExposure) July 26, 2006 -- Grief is a part of life that everyone will eventually have to endure. When a loss occurs, many of us are surrounded by friends, loved ones and even kind strangers. What happens when everyone gets back to their lives and we are left to handle the reality of this grief on our own? What happens when we know the death of a loved one is imminent, but no one wants to talk about it, because it is too hard for them to face the truth? This can be more difficult than the death itself, at times. Everyone has their own level at which their coping skills are helpful. Some are stronger than others. Some have been taught to use effective tools as a means of coping. Unfortunately, many of us have not been taught. We can easily become "stuck" in the grieving process - a plateau of sorts, which leaves us at an emotional and spiritual place where we cannot seem to move back or ahead. Depression and hopelessness may come as a result. Shining Light Grief Support is dedicated to learning to live again after loss. Onsite and online tools help clients to become unstuck in their grieving process, and through information, sharing and support give them hope to become once again whole and happy.

Shining Light offers the following services:

Onsite-Workshops, Grief retreats, Construction of memorial gardens and sacred spaces, one-on-one and group support

Online- Newsletter, information, one-on-one and group chat, reader sharing and support, related links and resources

About Shining Light Grief Support

Jeri Lynn Platt is the founder of Shining Light Grief Support. She has long been an advocate for natural birthing, cesarean prevention, unnecessary medical intervention and the medical rights of the pregnant parent. Grief support was only a part of the support and advocacy she offered until the illness and subsequent death of her fifteen year old daughter in April of 2003 brought her to a new level of education and understanding. An ordained minister (non-denominational), she offers education, spiritual & emotional support, hope and respite for the weary and grief-stricken through the use of a series of support tools, in the hope that we can all be UNstuck in our grief.
Jeri is available for speaking, workshops, one-on-one support and offers a series of grief retreats at some of the most beautiful spa resorts in sunny South Florida.
