Hole Drilling Option On Plasma Cutting Machine

Millington, NJ (PressExposure) May 19, 2009 -- AutoDrill equipment recently worked with a manufacturer of plasma cutting machines to offer a new option for their customers. Often, their customers need to make small holes and because making small, accurate holes through material is sometimes impossible with a plasma cutting unit, the manufacturer decided to mount an automatic drill to their set-up. The drill will make "pilot holes" and even accurately drill desired smaller holes for their customers. All controls are being provided by the plasma cutting machine manufacturer to integrate both units.

Because AutoDrill offers a peck drilling option, drilling smaller holes through even the thickest materials is possible. Additionally, the customer is considering placing a spindle multiplier or gang drill head to drill many small holes at the same time for some applications.

Annular cutters with a positive plug ejection system can be used for some applications as well when a larger hole drilling process is needed or desired.

All the equipment is rated for continuous duty production work. AutoDrill offers free application and design assistance during the quote and post-sale process. Free CAD drawings are available for all their equipment.

A search for "AutoDrill" on YouTube and other video sites turns up a number sample videos.
