Houston, TX (PressExposure) February 16, 2007 -- Despite lagging home sales in many parts of the United States, Houston luxury home builder Trendmaker Homes had its best year ever in 2006 and is expecting even higher home sales in 2007.
âThe slowdown isnât happening in Houston because the job growthâs here,â says Will Holder, President of Trendmaker Homes. âWe also arenât experiencing the drop in prices because Houston home prices have been able to inflate only slightly above the cost of construction. There are very thin margins in Houston.â
According to Holder, the key is to keep up with market change. Trendmaker Homes plans to grow their business through new and varied products like town homes, patio homes and new homes.
âIf you don't change your product every six months, you start to lose,â states Holder. âIt's like clothing. If you didn't change the style of your home every year, you'd be out of style.â
Since 1971, Trendmaker Homes has been building high end luxury homes in Houston and surrounding areas at an average sale price of $385,000. Trendmaker has built approximately 750 homes a year in Houston-area master-planned communities over the last few years and plans to build the same amount in 2007.
