Koh Samui, Suratthani The Gambia (PressExposure) January 27, 2011 -- The Junior Martial Arts Instructor Program is designed to teach leadership, build self-confidence, inspire achievement and aid in the overall development of the student's character so that these skills may be taken with them and applied in the real world and future vocations. It is specifically for students who are motivated to get the most out of life, but are not interested in the traditional school setting. Rick Tew's Martial Science classes are taught in unique environments with real world experiences.
Rick Tew has been teaching and running Martial Art programs for more than 20 years. He took over his first martial arts school at 17, started his first dojo at 19 and moved to Europe at 21 to teach his own system of martial arts - Rick Tew's Martial Science (RTMS).
Having been a high school dropout himself, Tew's goal is to provide an alternate route for today's teenagers who have, for one reason or another, opted to leave the classroom setting.
Says Tew, "This program is NOT for students who are lazy or difficult. However," he adds, "it must be noted that many students or troubled teens are not actually lazy. They simply have never been presented with challenging goals which might inspire them to action."
He further explains, "In teens with low self-esteem, physical mastery of skills taught in the martial arts and successful applications of martial technique can increase self-confident and builds your self-esteem."
He continues, "It's our accomplishments that make us feel good about ourselves, whether that achievement is a perfect front kick or a good score on a math test."
Participants of Junior Martial Arts Instructor Program will be instructed and at the same time learn how to instruct. Students are placed in positions of leadership and must speak in front of their peers.
"Public speaking and leadership go hand-in-hand. Students will learn how to teach what they learn to fellow students at the camp. The ability to present thoughts and ideas clearly increases leadership potential and, as a result, leads to a career success.", Tew explains.
Parents of high school dropouts are often discouraged at the lack of options that are available for their teenagers. Tew's Junior Martial Arts Instructor Program offers an exciting and fresh new option.
"High school dropouts CAN BE very successful if they follow their passions and never quit.", mentions Tew.
The Junior Instructor Program is conducted at a live-in year-round NinjaGym Martial Arts Camp in Thailand with a training up to 1 year.
The Junior Instructor Program does not focus solely on physical training, but rather addresses the whole person: body, mind and spirit. It is designed to teach leadership, build self-confidence, inspire achievement and aid in the overall development of the student's character so that these skills may be taken with them and applied in the real world and future vocations.
For students looking to earn high school diploma, GED (General Educational Development) prep program can be offered as part of the Junior Instructor Program.
Through the rigors of this course, students become as adept in disciplines of the mind as they are in disciplines of the body.
Qualified graduates from Junior Martial Arts Instructor Program who are interested in a career as a Martial Arts and Fitness instructor maybe presented with an opportunity to become NinjaGym assistant instructor.
