Jersey Girl takes her inheritance and a dream to South Carolina

Myrtle Beach, SC (PressExposure) January 26, 2012 -- As a sixteen year veteran Graphic Artist in the printing industry, Michelle DiLauro gets tired of the fast past life and cold snowy winters in Central New Jersey and heads south to live a slower and simpler life.

She purchases an existing retail tobacco store and with lots of sacrifices, persistence and a few mistakes along the way, Michelle turns this little store into a profitable local business. Six months later she will meet her husband and be accepted into his family of two daughters, two son-in-laws and three grandchildren.

Michelle knows that the most important rule of thumb when owning a business is to keep your customer's happy, for without your customers, you have no business. The other keys to success are keeping a good repertoire with your vendors, consistent bookkeeping and treating your employees like they're family.

Fast forward to six years later and a new granddaughter, Michelle desires an even better way of living. She sells her retail store and purchases, a web based business selling dog products from her home. Taking the joys of being self-employed and her past experiences of creating a successful business, she once again is on her way to making her dreams come true.

The pride and perseverance Michelle has she says she owes to her own family who always encouraged her to do well, the support of her husband and the unconditional love from their dog Sally Sue.

Michelle DiLauro has taken on the launch of Cool Stuff for and making headway in the online resale of dog products. She is available to consult anyone who is considering venturing out on their own, whether it is a retail store or a home based business, Michelle can offer her advice and wisdom on being a successful business owner.
