London, United Kingdom (PressExposure) June 11, 2009 -- London-based luxury jewellery firm Gladstone Jewellery has this week announced its official support of the Magnificence of Diamonds Charity Dinner taking place during the prestigious Coutts London Jewellery Week.
The black tie dinner is being held at the magnificent Mansion House in the City of London on 9th June 2009 and will be hosted by The Lord and Lady Mayor. All funds raised from ticket sales and the luxury auctions on the night will directly benefit two charities selected for The Lord Mayorâs Appeal this year; The St Johnâs Ambulance and The Lord Taverners Charity, a leading UK youth sports charity giving young people, particularly those with disabilities, the opportunity to benefit from sport.
Gladstone Jewellery has donated its glorious Mary I diamond brooch in sumptuous 18ct yellow gold worth thousands of pounds to the dinnerâs main auction. The brooch is encrusted with sixteen best-cut glittering diamonds and accented with subtly glowing rubies and a single blue sapphire. Many luxury jewellery pieces from some of the worldâs most prestigious jewellers will be going under the hammer on the night.
Guests will be entertained by a live orchestra during the champagne reception. There will also be several high-profile guest speakers after dinner along with the auction followed by dancing.
The luxury jewellery company has worked closely with many charities in the past including UK childrenâs cancer charity CLIC Sargent. Last year Gladstone Jewellery was one of the charityâs main sponsors at their elegant Ruby Ball.
