Although majority have used video game consoles as well as other things for entertainment, many still prefer singing along with friends and families in a KTV or Videoke bar. Because of its popularity, several innovations and enchancements have been made to make the machine more portable as well as enjoyable. One of the most popular creations inspired by karaoke is the magic sing microphones.

In-A-Jiffy Enterprises (IAJE) and The Astra Group are both Philippine companies that proliferated the industry of Magic Mics with their own brands other than the Magic Sing.

In-A-Jiffy and Wow Magic Sing In 1999, In-A-Jiffy started selling portable videoke in the Philippines which later they called as wow magic sing. Other than extreme magic sing [] , wow magic sing were largely known because of their involvement in Philippine tourism. Department of Tourism and wow magic sing agreed to cooperate in this endeavor to take advantage of the portability of the device to advocate awareness to tourism. Wow Magic Sing is currently promoted by the Asia's Song Bird Regine Velasquez and in Wowowee shows by actor/singer Willie Revillame.

The Astra Group and Extreme Magic Sing There is little known about the extreme magic sing [] and its founder, The Astra Group, other than founding their magic mics in 1999. Extreme Magic Sing is currently promoted by Sarah Geronimo, a popular young Filipino singer/actress and the #1 pound-for-pound boxer in the world, Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao.
