Maverick BankCard Unveils a New Online Payment Gateway for High Risk Merchants - No Merchant Account Necessary

Agoura Hills, CA (PressExposure) March 06, 2013 -- Maverick BankCard, Inc. announced that it has launched its newest product line Maverick Gateway with integrated Maverick eCash services. The 12 year old merchant services firm provides merchant accounts and a variety of customized payment services, and now offers its hard to place customers an online gateway for accepting credit cards and peer to peer payments in real time.

"The gateway, with its Peer to Peer cash payment system enables our "hard-to-place" merchants a turnkey option for selling goods and services online without the need for a merchant account", said Maverick CEO, Alan Griefer. "The sign up process is a streamlined one page online form, and activation is instantaneous".

The Gateway includes the payment system as well as a robust communications hub, which enables the merchant to seamlessly collect payments and mass communicate with its customers unlimited via voice, fax, text, and email - all included in the monthly subscription fee.

The eCommerce module - online store and shopping cart - may be a completely standalone configuration, or it may be integrated with a merchant's existing online resources. API's are available for merchants that have some software expertise in-house, and want to connect the gateway with their existing online store.

"Anybody, merchant or not, can build an online Web presence, complete with an online store in a few minutes without any technical expertise" explained Maverick's EVP Customer Operations, Dave Rosenthal.

"We advocate redundancy and alternative payment offerings for our client merchants and their customers - the gateway provides just that", continues Rosenthal. "When you compare a typical merchant application and approval process of 2 - 5 days to the Maverick Gateway, complete with online shopping going live literally within one hour, it's a very attractive offering, and sometimes the only option for our hard-to-place customers."

Maverick provides both traditional and high risk merchant accounts and payment solutions that support any business type. High risk merchants typically sell products and services over the phone or Internet, where the customer's card is not present. In addition, high dollar volumes, chargeback ratio, credit score, processing history, and other factors all play a part in how an acquiring member bank measures risk. Rosenthal explains, "the Maverick Gateway adds a transactional layer behind the scenes, so our merchants deal on a peer to peer cash basis with their customers - they are no longer responsible for storing personally identifiable information or credit card numbers, or transacting over the major card networks. The application acceptance rate for the Gateway is very high, and there is much less likelihood that a merchant will have his or her account terminated."

The Maverick Gateway is the result of a partnership with a telecom company and one of its processors. Originally launched in the US and Canada only, the Gateway is now being piloted in other countries.
