MentorHealth to Present Webinar on "Coding Concepts - In Depth"

Fremont, California (PressExposure) May 27, 2013 -- Summary: MentorHealth, a leading provider of online training for the healthcare industry, is organizing a webinar on June 13 on the topic, "Coding Concepts - in Depth". It will be presented by Jeffrey Restuccio, who is the principal owner of, will be the speaker at this session.

This detailed, two-and-a-half course will impart practical knowledge in coding and billing.

This presentation will be some kind of a guidebook on coding and billing to providers, coders, billers and management. Many of the topics presented here are "must know" concepts that everyone responsible for coding should know.

This course covers a wide range of CPT coding concepts with numerous interesting and information examples drawn from the instructor's long career that has spanned over 15 years, during which he has trained more than 1,000 certified coders.

The speaker, who has spent over 15 years in supervising chart audits, analyzing carrier denial and training on all areas of coding and billing; will traverse all the areas of this field during this long session, which is of a much longer duration than one would expect in a webinar session on this topic. He will cover all the basic concepts of CPT coding in just as much detail as is necessary to make it meaningful and memorable.

This course has a special focus on non-coders or coders who have just begun their career journey. The 110 PowerPoint slides that will be presented during this session will cover dozens of concepts. It starts with the basics such manual symbols, place of service codes and the organization of the CPT manual. It then covers the highlights for every section of the CPT manual. Key areas include E & M, surgical guidelines, OB/GYN rules, modifiers and the CPT appendices.

The aim of this webinar is to familiarize billers, management and providers with the complexity and scope of the CPT manual using actual examples from each section. This course is also a useful introduction and review for medical coders. It can be of use to even those with no prior knowledge of coding or billing. At the end of this learning session, participants will have constructed a base of CPT coding concepts with specific examples and how they relate to the bigger picture of compliance, accuracy and reimbursement.
