Washington, DC (PressExposure) February 19, 2009 -- New York Times bestselling author Mike Evans has released a new book analyzing a misguided plan by Presidents Jimmy Carter and Barack Obama to attain Middle East peace by dividing Jerusalem.
The book, Jimmy Carter, The Liberal Left and World Chaos: An Obama/Carter Plan That Will Not Work, is a 550-page hardback that documents such facts as Carter providing checks of $150 million to the Ayatollah Khomeini to overthrow the Shah of Iran. Shortly after, students launched a diplomatic crisis between Iran and the United States by holding 52 American diplomats hostage for 444 days. Carter's failed 1980 attempt to rescue the hostages resulted in the crash of two aircraft and the deaths of eight American military men and one Iranian civilian.
Carter wire transferred $7.9 billion in 1981 to Khomeini's regime to buy back the hostages. The book also reveals how Carter provided $500 million to the Muslim Brotherhood Freedom Fighters, who became the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, eventually resulting in the 2001 attacks by Al-Qaeda on New York's World Trade Center and numerous attacks worldwide for the decades since Carter's presidency.
"I've done years of extensive research for this book," said Evans, an award winning Middle East journalist. "It's vital for Americans to understand that Jimmy Carter has enabled Islamic extremists to become what they are today. He is pushing to persuade President Obama to adopt his dangerous plan for Middle East peace. The Carter/Obama plan will weaken Israel, further support terror regimes that already have murdered scores of Americans around the world, and divide Jerusalem to establish yet another Islamic capital."

Evans is founder of The Jerusalem Prayer Team (JPT) and the Corrie Ten Boom Foundation. JPT was birthed out of the Corrie Ten Boom clock shop in Holland, which hosted 100-years of prayer meetings to pray for the peace of Jerusalem, until the Ten Boom family was taken to Nazi concentration camps in 1944. More than 300 national Christian leaders, such Pat Robertson, Tim LeHaye, Joyce Meyer, and Ann Graham Lotz, support JPT. The organization receives no funding from the State of Israel and believes that God loves Arabs in the Bible as much as the Jews.
