New Cd By Mehmet Okonsar: "Last Name: Bach" Dedicated To The Works Of J.S. Bach's Composer Sons

Ankara, Turkey (PressExposure) October 10, 2013 -- Winner of various worldwide piano competitions, comprising the Gina Bachauer, sixth prize in 1991, fruitful recording musician and autonomous artist Mehmet Okonsar releases a new recording "Last name: BACH" dedicated to the works of J.S. Bach's composer sons, released on LMO-Records on this October.

Following up his concept CD "Liszt-Modern" (tracks available on i-Tunes), "Last name: BACH" is Okonsar's 12th recording and is already followed by another sparkling title that will feature the artist's own piano compositions.

Three of Johann Sebastian's composer sons are represented in this album. Carl Philipp Emanuel: the highly cultivated intellectual, successful virtuoso and theoretician; Wilhelm Friedemann: the "avant-garde" with delicate "Polonaises" and "Fantasias"; Johann Christian: the steady-going, almost "scholarly" one.

Wholly self-produced and self-promoted, every little thing from the cover art to the liner notes are made by the pianist, "Last name: BACH" has been a two-year labor of love and fervor for the featured composers: Carl Philipp Emanuel, Wilhelm Friedemann and Johann Christian Bach. The independent Belgian pianist, born in Istanbul, Mehmet Okonsar, has put together all the things in that recording, alone.

"This concept album is definitely the fruit of my adoration for the works of those composers and their enormous affect on the emering classical style." states Okonsar about the selections.
