New Church Empowers City

Suffolk, VA (PressExposure) November 08, 2011 -- FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

A new church opens its doors in Suffolk. The Empowerment Zone is not your typical church. There is an unlikely family forming at The Empowerment Zone church, a gathering of diverse people who desire to shake up traditions and meet for a greater purpose.

"This is something that you would have to see to believe. It's something totally different," says senior pastor Alton Jamison. The young pastor, who originates from the small town of Hopewell, VA, is humbled at the opportunity to serve the Suffolk community and the members of The Empowerment Zone church. "I am excited about what's to come and absolutely amazed to be a part of something as big as empowering the lives of the people. God is writing a story here in Suffolk that only He can write, bringing together people from all walks of life to empower a generation."

Jamison is not alone in his excitement or vision. Along with his wife and the members of The Empowerment Zone church they will officially launch the church on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 6:00 PM. The location for this ground-breaking event will take place at 1018 Centerbrooke Lane (The Holiday Inn Express) Suffolk.

This launch event will be complete with contemporary praise and worship, biblical empowerment, and a post reception to follow immediately after the service. This event is free and open to the public. Jamison encourages the community to "Come and see a different side of church." The attire is casual, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the message will be relevant. "Empowering real people right where they are" seems to be the marching order for this church.

Maybe it's time you check it out...
