Old Colony Elderly Services Announces Summer Caregiver Series

Brockton, MA (PressExposure) July 14, 2008 -- OCES is a private, non-profit agency that provides valuable resources and services to seniors, families and caregivers in Plymouth County as well as Avon, Easton and Stoughton.

On Wednesday, July 23, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., a free and interactive seminar entitled "The Caregiver Experience" will be presented by The Reverend Emily Heath, MDiv., ThM . The seminar is designed to provide education and guidance to caregivers; topics include the challenges of caregiving to a critically ill loved one, caregiver stress and caregiver self-care.

On Wednesday, August 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., a free "Caregiver 101" seminar will be led by Nicole Welch, LCSW. This seminar offers education and guidance to help caregivers broaden their awareness about resources, services, and programs; increase their knowledge on how to find and access services; and help them enhance their health and well being while managing caregiver responsibilities.
