PAVA to Visit the VII International No-Till Conference

Barnaul, Russia (PressExposure) June 23, 2009 -- On June 23-26 2009, Russian grain processor PAVA will visit the 7th International conference on Sustainable and Effective Agriculture through a Systems Approach to No-Till. Dnepropetrovsk region (the Ukraine) will host this large-scale event, organized by AgroSoyuz Corporation on the basis of a model farm located in the Sinelnikovsky district.

The conference, first held in 2004, centers around the innovative technology of no-till cultivation. It gathers governmental officials, members of the scientific community and agricultural operators from all over the world. Representatives of PAVA and its daughter company Russian Agricultural Division, engaged in active development of farming, will take part in round-table discussions about zero tillage and other productivity improvement techniques.

During the conference international speakers will present reports on maximizing yields, proven crop rotation, weed management and others, besides, the programme includes excursions and practical workshops in the field.

"Cost-effective use of resources has become a pressing issue of the global scope, and our company ranks among major players of the agrisector, responsible for sustainable farming policy. Recently we have considerably increased our land bank proceeding to gradual expansion of planted acreage", comments Andrey Igoshin, PAVA President. PAVA started to implement its new project RAD in 2008, bringing modern approach to cultivation which coincides with major changes in the Russian economy. The company contributes to restoring the efficiency of national agriculture and Russia's positions among world leaders in grain growing.


PAVA is one of the major grain processors in Russia. The company represents a 3% share of the national flour market. According to 2007 results, it was given the status 'Leading Exporter of the Industry' by Russian Ministry of Economic Development. Recently PAVA has developed a new strategy - creation of a vertically integrated agroindustrial holding. It is based on implementation of 2 projects: RAD (agricultural business operations) and Grainvest (deep grain processing), consolidated under GlobalAgro structure.
