Understanding that excersise decreases the risk of cancer and battling his own weight demons, he founded The PHAT Body Fit Shop. The acroynym PHAT stands for Perfectly Healthy and Toned. His classes are geared for all women. Darren at one point in his life went from an in shape college basketball player to an overweight pharmaceutical representative. He wasn't happy with the path he was on thus he made the conscious decision to get back in shape and help others do the same without the assistance of prescription drugs. His transformation saw him go from 250 lbs with many health risks to 218 pounds and healthy. His decision to focus on helping women go from Fat to PHAT is his way of giving back and honoring his mother''s legacy.
