London, United Kingdom (PressExposure) October 06, 2008 -- Penny Oliver one of the founders of East has returned to the company to help with the new collections.
Penny was responsible for creating the East look and her influence on the brand has proved to be one of the reasons for its success. Together with her design team she will be deciding how the collections will look in the coming months.
Penny is excited to be working for East again as she is inspired by the prints and textiles that are a trademark of the look. She is a great fan of accessories and thinks that casual dress with attractive accessories is the way forward when it comes to choosing the perfect outfit. One of her favourite pieces of the year is in the current East Shadowlands collection, a silk velvet coat which is perfect for dressing up or just a great classic for shopping in the city. It can be dressed up with jewelery and accessories or just left alone for a city look. For Penny that is the great thing about the East look, it is something that can take you effortlessly from one occasion to another. She says,
'I absolutely love accessories; indeed anyone who knows me would perhaps mention that I always like to wear a shawl or a scarf. I am inspired by China and India. My pick of the season would be all our scarves and the Parrot embroidered canvas bag from the Blue Lagoon range which is unique to East'
Penny is a great fan of layered knit dressing and has introduced a great range of knitwear and boiled wool pieces for the autumn/winter which will enhance anyone's wardrobe. Look out for the coming collections which will feature fantastic devore pieces to stun your guests at Christmas and beautiful ethnic block print dresses for summer 2009.
With Penny back at the helm, East is looking like a fashion chain that will be offering lots of classic looks over the coming seasons and will feature unique ethnic and individual pieces that can transform your look.
