Performance Food Centers Juice Bar Client Xchange Internet Cafe Grand Opening

Pottstown, PA (PressExposure) October 16, 2009 -- Performance Food Centers announces the opening of the Fed Xchange Internet Cafe, a juice bar located at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETC) in Artesia, New Mexico. One of three official training sites for the department of homeland security, the FBI and 80 different Federal Agencies; FLETC trains up to 3000 students at a time. The smoothie juice bar [] is located in the student center building on their campus directly across from the gym.

Recognizing the need for nutritional alternatives to meals for trainees on-the-go and for immediately following post workout, Xchange owner Tom Winters felt that a health juice bar would be perfect at FLETC Artesia. A full selection of healthy fitness smoothies and whole-food snacks made with no added sugar, additives or artificial ingredients is exactly what FLETC trainees need to stay mentally and physically sharp. Furthermore Tom knew that the combination of a juice bar and internet café would also be a hit because people could use a place to come together.

A marathon runner and business owner already, Mr. Winters felt that opening a juice bar business [] on base would be a great opportunity, however to be successful he would have to find the right partner. While performing research on juice bar companies, Tom found Performance Food Centers, which offers a complete line of juice bar supplies, consulting and resources. After some additional exploration, Performance Food Centers was chosen as the best partner.

“I chose Performance Food Centers for two reasons” mentions Tom Winters. “First, because they use whole-food products. Second, they did not require me to enter into any type of contract; I knew they must really be confident in their products and service.” In addition, by using PFC to provide juice bar supplies, the Fed Xchange can offer FLETC students all natural, 100% crushed fruit shakes, healthy fitness smoothies, Organic fair-trade coffee and whole-food snacks.

The staff at the Fed Xchange Internet café has been impressed with PFC’s juice bar business knowledge, not to mention the service and support of Sales Representative Chris Murphy. “We have been very impressed with PFC’s abundant knowledge and expertise and how willing they are to share that and support us in our new business.” Winters continues, “The training with the owner of the company, Dan Young was not just how to blend shakes … he took the time to educate our staff on each product and their nutritional benefits. In addition, he will be returning in two weeks to train all of the Drill Instructors and Trainers on Nutrition and how it relates to one’s performance goals.”

“I am so proud to offer our all natural, whole-food products to the men and women protecting our country” states Dan Young, Founder and President of PFC. “After spending the whole day training the staff at the Fed Xchange Internet Café, I am confident that this juice bar will be a great success and I can guarantee that more training facilities will follow in its steps.”
