Playa del Carmen Real Estate Buyers Enjoy Boosted Security

Playa Del Carmen , Mexico (PressExposure) December 23, 2009 -- Since most major Mexico Real Estate destinations for international buyers are located in areas with heavy tourist activity and a large non-Mexican community, security forces have become very aware of the special needs of people visiting or living in a new country. For Playa del Carmen Real Estate buyers, this fact has been demonstrated in the recent security boost during the Christmas holidays; this boost in turn reflects an emphasis on providing protection for those who are relatively new to the area, either as visitors, or as property owners new to the area.

During the Christmas holidays, Playa del Carmen includes a special security operation, called "Guadalupe-Reyes" (because of the names of the holidays which mark the beginning and end of the Christmas season in Mexico), with the purpose to ensure the safety and security of tourists. As a part of the program, trucks and ATVs that will be touring the tourist area and beaches. This operation will last until January seventh, during which time Civil Defense, Public Security, and other security forces redouble efforts to remain vigilant of vacationers.

The municipal government realizes that Playa del Carmen's economy and culture is largely dependent on visitors and foreign investors; this season welcomes thousands of tourists daily and the government wants to guarantee of security and protection to have a good trip home.

"Our goal is to protect the safety and enjoyment of the families who visit us this holiday season is our goal, this action is a priority and we will spare no effort or resources," said the Mayor in a speech at City Hall.

In Playa del Carmen there is a cooperation among the various federal, state and local, in coordination with the police authorities to prevent crime and reduce accidents. The Civil Protection organization shows a complete commitment to provide absolute security for tourists and locals.

While program is special for the holiday season, it reflects the importance which Playa del Carmen puts on protecting the special needs of those who are not from the area. This focus includes all visitors, but especially those who are not from Mexico and, for this reason are not familiar with Mexican culture; it also includes new residents of the area who are still getting used to Mexico's culture. While with normal security precautions the area is very safe, for Playa del Carmen Real Estate buyers, this adds an extra security and peace of mind that the police force in the area is paying special attention to the needs of non-Mexicans.
