Evesham, United Kingdom (PressExposure) February 09, 2012 -- The Plumbworld empire currently possess and run over 50 successful e-commerce websites selling a variety of products; however, they are most prominent in the online shower & bathroom sector. They stock a wide range of the most contemporary, up to date bathroom accessories and furniture on the internet and if modern isn't of taste; Plumbworld's range of traditional designs will also float some boats.
However, Plumbworld has continued to expand over the past few years and due to this, sales have also taken an increase and this has spread added pressure across the business to meet the swell in demand. This is where the new 'operations director', John Maisey comes into play; he has been appointed to oversee procedures and see where he can streamline and improve efficiency along a variety of business processes. Along with this role he will be applying his professional, commercial experience to the business in any way possible to benefit Plumbworld in its operations.
James Hickman, Managing Director at Plumbworld was enthusiastic about this new appointment and stated: "John is the ideal person to take on this position and apply his knowledge to the business. His background has provided him with a wealth of experience and familiarity in this role which gives me great confidence in knowing that this is the perfect appointment and I'm already looking forward to the suggestions and changes he puts forward. I have no doubt efficiency and procedures will be thoroughly reviewed and optimised to the highest possible standard with John on hand."
John's background shows a strong degree in mechanical engineering along with qualifications as a chartered accountant. A few years on, John was a director and board member for the OTIS Elevator Company, one of the world's leading manufacturers, installers and maintainers of elevators with over 10,000 staff; not a small feat.
Certainly with this background, the experience and skills John has acquired along the way will be transferable to Plumbworld. Despite the large differences in operation, OTIS selling elevators on a worldwide scale to Plumbworld selling a formidable range of bathroom accessories and furniture; John will most certainly make a difference.
