Post Rock Torchbearers Nice Weather for Airstrikes Host 3rd Annual Festival in Brighton

Brighton, East Sussex United Kingdom (PressExposure) May 02, 2011 -- In advance of the festival, the label are making line up announcements on a weekly basis via their Facebook page. Bands announced so far are:

The Strange Death of Liberal England, Last Days of Lorca, The Continuous Battle of Order, Juffage, Speak Galactic, Silent Front, Nordic Giants, Theo, Kontakte, Delta Sleep, Evi Vine, Crowns on the Rats Orchestra, The Slow Revolt, Alright the Captain, Orders of the British Empire.

The final announcement will be made on Saturday the 7th of May. So far the label have made announcements in conjunction with free giveaways from bands on the bill. Fans of NWfA have been given an exclusive acoustic track by local post rock heroes Last Days of Lorca, an acoustic track from Nordic Giants, a free download from Silent Front and the most recent giveaway is a live recording of post rock legends Alright the Captain. More freebies are expected on the Saturday.

The post rock festival is hosted at the Druids Arms in Brighton from the 27th to 30th of May inclusive. Organised by local label and promoters Nice Weather for Airstrikes, the festival showcases acts on NWfA as well as innovative post rock, shoegaze and math rock artists the label are supportive of, including some of the best up and coming names in the field, as well as more established names on the scene such as The Strange Death of Liberal England.

The 4 day post rock bonanza is sponsored by InsuranceDeskDotNet in association with Jack Daniels as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival. On the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights, bands will take to the stage at 8pm with DJs taking over from midnight until 3am. On the Monday, the event takes a more stripped down, mellow turn, with bands performing from 3pm until midnight, focused on electronic, ambient and acoustic artists.
