San Diego, CA (PressExposure) November 16, 2015 -- Quicken 2016, the latest version in the long-line of Quicken software editions, was released to the public on November 13, 2015. This release came more than a month later than expected by the community of Quicken users. The reason for the delay? The Quicken development team wanted to make sure this newest version was fully compatible with both Windows 10 and Mac OS X El Capitan.
After much testing, the development team has declared Quicken 2016 to be fully compatible with Windows 10 and El Capitan. Windows and Mac users can upgrade to this latest version of Quicken without worrying about compatibility issues that arose with the previous 2015 version of Quicken.
This newest release of Quicken includes several new features and improvements on old features. Some of the more notable items include:
- New Bill Tracking - Link bills in Quicken and it will automatically track bill due dates and amounts due. Never worry about missing a bill again.
- Free Unlimited Phone Support - All versions of Quicken 2016 include unlimited phone support for help with installation, upgrading, or any other questions Quicken users may have. Support is available Monday-Friday from 5am to 5pm PST.
- Free Credit Monitoring - All versions of Quicken 2016 now include credit monitoring and updated credit scores. This feature was previously only included in Quicken Premier and higher.
- More Reliable Bank Downloads - Improvements to the bank transaction downloading functions have resulted in more robust and error-free bank downloads so you don't have to worry about missing or duplicating transactions.
As with all releases of Quicken, this 2016 version will provide full functionality for 3 years. That means this Quicken version will continue to provide you with free credit monitoring, bank transaction downloads, and free upgrades until April 2019.
Who should upgrade to this 2016 version? Any users who are running Quicken 2013 or older will definitely want to upgrade if they want to continue getting Quicken updates and retain the ability to download banking transactions. Users running Quicken 2014 or later may wish to upgrade if they want to get the latest features of Quicken or if they are running Windows 10 or OS X El Capitan.
