Dubai, United Arab Emirates (PressExposure) November 22, 2009 -- Under the patronage of HRH Princess Haya Bint Al Hussein, a charity event will be held in Dubai in March 2010 to raise money for India's underprivileged children.
Organised by the RACH Charity Foundation, in association with the Dubailand development Al Barari and fashion boutique Studio 8, the fundraiser will bring some of Bollywood's biggest names to Dubai.
Princess Fay Jahan Ara, the founder and President of the RACH Foundation, which stands for Royal Avadhi Cultural and Heritage Foundation, says she hopes to raise funds to improve the lives of slum dwellers through education, medical support and installing water pumps.
"I believe sustainable development is the most important factor in providing these people with their dream of a better future. We focus on India because I married an Indian Prince and it's my first love. From the first time I visited the slum areas in 1975, their situation and poverty really touched my heart. I feel pity of them but I couldn't do anything then. But now I'm in a position to help," said Princess Fay, who is US national.
