Toronto, Canada (PressExposure) September 10, 2009 -- GAO RFID Inc. (www.GAORFID.com) recommends its animal tracking RFID tag. The passive, contactless tag operates in the low frequency range at 134kHz. The transparent tag is injected into animals via syringe and can be read and written to conveniently. It is widely used for animal tracking; however, it is also useful for small asset identification.
This bio-glass RFID tag, model 112001, is waterproof and resistant to immersion in salt water, alcohol, oil, 10% HCL and ammonia. The low frequency tag features a small size, light weight and long-term durability. The ISO 11784/5 compliant tag supports a read range of about 3cm when being injected into animals and is used in applications where reusability is not required. The tag supports data coding types including Manchester, PSK, FSK, Biphase and NRZ.
