Holiday Cooking Live! Series Cooking Live! is an up-close monthly demonstration where guests have the ability to learn a variety of cooking techniques from acclaimed Executive Chef Ted Cizma. The holiday series includes Stress Free Thanksgiving & Turkey Tips on Tuesday, November 17, and Holiday Entertaining on Tuesday, December 15. The series begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Aerie Restaurant & Lounge on the 16th Floor of the Resort’s Tower. Demonstrations are approximately 45 minutes and complimentary samples are provided. The fee is $15 per person, which is applied as a credit to each guest’s dinner bill when they have a three-course dinner in Aerie immediately following the demonstration. Biggest Little Holiday Party An annual event for nearly 20 years, Grand Traverse Resort & Spa’s Biggest Little Holiday Party is designed for groups of all sizes. On December 22, for a mere $29.50 per person, the evening extravaganza kicks off at 5:30 with a reception in the Governors’ Hall Pre-function Area featuring an assortment of hors d’oeuvres and cash bar. After, enjoy a magnificent holiday buffet complete with three entrée selections and a fabulously decadent dessert table, then live entertainment and dancing for the remainder of the evening.

New Year's Eve Ring in the New Year in style with Detroit's popular 14-person Simone Vitale Band playing music from seven decades and the Resort’s New Year's Eve package. Guests will enjoy one-night accommodations for New Year’s Eve, one New Year's Eve buffet dinner in Governors' Hall and one $15 Casino e-credit voucher. Pricing starts at $119.50 per person, double occupancy in the Hotel and $139.50 per person, double occupancy in the Tower. The above pricing does not include eight percent tax and $9.95 nightly resort fee.

A more intimate New Year’s Eve Dinner and Party with Latin-style music by the well known Traverse City band Rojo Loco is planned for the Resort’s premium casual dining venue, Aerie Restaurant & Lounge on the 16th Floor of the Tower. Details will be available soon on the Resort’s Web site.

In addition, a Kid’s New Year’s Eve Party with active games, swimming and a pizza party for youth ages 6-14 is planned in the Health Club and Indoor Water Playground from 7pm to 1am for $50 per person.

Cherry Capital Winter WonderFest Celebrate Presidents Day and Valentine’s Weekend with thousands of people from all over the Midwest who flock to the Traverse City region to enjoy all things winter.
