Coral Springs, FL (PressExposure) September 02, 2009 -- Today Runaware, the global leader in online software marketing, is pleased to announce that it is in the final testing stage for its next generation of the TestDrive® platform that has been built at the Runaware India development center. Having been under construction for the past two years, this new platform is the culmination of Runawareâs expertise in hosting software online and the dedication and hard work of the entire Runaware staff to produce an evolution of the current TestDrive online demo system.
âI am very pleased with the performance of the new TestDrive platform. It has met all of our goals in terms of performance and features and will really make an impact on our bottom line. Many of our installation and maintenance tasks have been automated, which will allow us to become much more efficient and streamlined. Our new platform continues to position Runaware as the leader in online software demos and gives us a solid foundation for the future growth that we have planned,â commented Runaware CTO, Andy Poulter
Runaware staff will be able to make use of a new, more sophisticated application management console to easily package all of the configuration requirements for the software and deploy it across all the needed servers and data centers. New management infrastructure automates testing and deployment, enabling a higher level of consistency and stability across all of the Runaware systems â ensuring a very high uptime for the hosted online demos.
The new management console is designed to monitor system usage to predict and dynamically allocate more resources to specific applications that are seeing higher usage, while lowering the resources needed for applications seeing a lower level of traffic. Actively adjusting the deployment of hosted software on a continuous basis allows Runaware to become extremely efficient in the use of its hardware and also of its data centers. This capability adds to the cost savings for the company and makes the companyâs energy consumption even more âgreen.â
Several new features will allow Runaware to host most software applications, adding even the most complex enterprise-type application suites to Runawareâs arsenal. The new efficiencies will allow Runaware to offer a lower price point for small businesses, allowing them to take advantage of the proven ROI that online demos can provide without a major investment. This will open up a new market for Runaware, allowing the company to provide solutions for software companies of all sizes. The software industry represents tens of thousands of companies and accounts for more than $200 Billion in revenue, representing a large target for Runaware.
The most visible new feature for Runaware clients is InstantConnect. This feature makes the software in the TestDrive online demo available immediately. With InstantConnect, Runaware has achieved its goal of launching fully-functional software live in a web browser in less than 10 seconds, in some cases taking less time than if the software were installed on the visitorâs own computer. InstantConnect will be part of the companyâs competitive advantage when compared with other demo types.
Testing is expected to conclude in August, with the first production customers due to roll out on the new TestDrive platform by the end of the month. There will then be a transition phase as current online demo customers [http://www.runaware.com/clients.jsp] are moved from the current system to the new one.
