Hollywood, Florida (PressExposure) April 13, 2011 -- It may be an uncomfortable topic but it is real!
Samuel Rogatinsky was working as an entertainment and business lawyer until a woman walked into his firm with a problem that changed his life. The woman was an out-patient at Henderson Mental Health Center in Florida and she told Sam about the sexual abuse she endured in the hands of a mental health counselor at the facility. Instead of providing counseling and help, the social worker repeatedly raped her over a period of a month until she attempted suicide and subsequently reported the abuse to the authorities. In addition to the violent sexual abuse, the mental health counselor threatened to send her son to foster care if she would not agree to his strange sexual demands that occurred almost on a daily basis. Sam filed a lawsuit with his co-counsel on March 22, 2011. Today, a second victim sexually abused by the same counselor came forward. A new lawsuit will be filed within the next 10 days.
These victims already had mental health issues and were at Henderson Mental Health to try and get better. They both reported the abuse but no one listened to them. Instead, they were shuffled through the system and ignored until it was almost too late for both of them.
The "Mentally Ill" are more likely to be victims of sexual abuse because of their vulnerability and weaknesses. There are mental health counselors throughout the United States that are systematically sexually abusing patients both inside and outside of the mental health facilities. Sam believes this problem to be equal or worse than the Catholic clergy abuse scandals of the 1990's.
Sam is on a national campaign to expose sexual abusers who prey on the "Mentally Ill." Sam Rogatinsky has started an organization called AX Sex Abusers Now. He encourages people to expose sexual abusers no matter where they are from. Sam promises to listen to each person who is being abused and will help them stop the suffering no matter what steps need to be taken.
The sexual abuser could be a camp counselor, boy scout leader, teacher, priest, rabbi, next door neighbor. It is usually someone that we all trust in disguise.
