Santa Clara, CA (PressExposure) January 11, 2010 -- After a successful launch in 2009, Sketch Maven, the World's Greatest Original Comic Art Marketplace, plans to enhance its offerings to comic fans and art collectors by adding sketches and original comic strip art to its online marketplace in 2010.
In the upcoming months, comic art collectors will be able to buy and sell comic-related sketches and other unpublished works, in addition to the original published comic art currently available at sketchmaven.com. "By combining sketches and original comic art in one online marketplace, collectors now have access to a broader range of artwork by their favorite artists with their favorite characters," adds Mike Todasco, founder of Sketch Maven.
Sketch Maven also plans to expand its reach to include Japan, Canada, Australia, Great Britain, and other countries. This site enhancement will give sellers the option to reach buyers in these key markets as well as the United States.
Looking ahead to the second quarter of 2010, Sketch Maven will provide comic art collectors with the opportunity to buy and sell original cartoon and comic strip artwork on its online marketplace. From Calvin and Hobbes to Dilbert, reading the daily comics has been a long-standing tradition for many. This new marketplace will provide fans with a new way to celebrate their favorite cartoons.
"We're excited about what 2010 has in store for Sketch Maven and our community of buyers and sellers," comments Todasco. "New features and promotions will be released throughout the year, so there will always be something new and exciting on the site." Current promotions include a weekly original comic art giveaway for the first registered user who can identify the comic book from a piece of posted artwork. Registration at Sketch Maven is free and not only provides collectors with an opportunity to win free original artwork but also to participate in the community forum with fellow comic art enthusiasts.
