Smart Tweezers LCR-Meter's Popularity Grows in Russia With New Partnership

Waterloo, Canada (PressExposure) April 05, 2013 -- Smart Tweezers LCR-meter are an electronics tester able to identify and evaluate Inductance (L), Resistance (R) and Capacitance (C) automatically with the same speed and accuracy of conventional bench-type testers.

NPF Dipaul, established in 1990, is a wholesaler who specializes in supplying equipment, tools and consumables for the electronics industry. With offices in Moscow and St. Petersburg, Dipaul has worked with companies that include Agilent Technologies, Fluke, Mydata, Teseq, Thermotron, DIma and other. Clients of Dipaul include; Russian Federal Nuclear Center, Samara Space Center, Ioffe Institute and Russian Space Systems.

Smart Tweezers provide fully automatic L, C and R evaluations of all types of passive and through hole components with just a touch of the tweezers to a component with the use of only one hand. The ST5 model, the newest, offers diode and continuity testing, component sorting, and designated Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR) measurements with an estimated 6 times higher basic accuracy than previous models. The device is undeniably handy in all applications from manufacturing to repair, and complements the work done by conventional testes wthout the size and set-up.

"We provide test solutions from Agilent in Russia for a number of years, and we appreciate how well ST LCR-meter compliments bench-type testes in a quick yet accurate evaluation of LCR-components." says Alkexander Lyubimtsev, the Project Manager at Dipaul.

With a unique integration of a set of tweezers acting as the probes, a small LCD screen, and a highly accurate LCR-meter designed specifically for Surface Mount Technology, Smart Tweezers make short work of testing and debugging PCBs, component sorting, in-circuit and on-board impedance testing. Smart Tweezers also determines the secondary parameters while measuring, such as the ESR of a capacitor.

A unique, patented mechatronic design allows Smart Tweezers to have very low and well defined parasitics. These parasitics are easily removed using the semi-automatic offset subtraction feature. With the parasitics removed, the device can measure as low as a fraction of microhenry for Inductance, and 1 milliohm and 1 picofarad for Resistance and Capacitance measurements.

Smart Tweezers are a professional quality tool that has been proven by many major high-tech companies worldwide. Visit the Smart Tweezers' Blog for all the latest news about the device, and future models.
