Smencils Take School Fundraising By Storm

Houston, TX (PressExposure) May 13, 2008 -- There is a new product out that is available for school groups and other non-profit groups for their fundraising efforts. It's Gourmet Scented Pencils called Smencils which are made from 100% recycled newspaper.

For people that need to raise money for their club, team, school or group, this is a unique and fun way to do it. With such emphasis put on "Green" these days, this is also a great way to create awareness about the environment. Because the "Smencils" are made from recycled newspaper, they add to environmental responsibility.

Below are some facts about this great $1 in-hand seller:

* Sheets of recycled newspaper are rolled tightly around

a #2 graphite-writing core until smencils (pencils) of

typical thickness are formed.

* They then are hardened, allowing them to be sharpened in

the same manner you would a wood pencil.

* Then Gourmet Smencil is soaked with a liquid gourmet

* Each Smencil is then put into its own Stay Fresh Tube. It is

guaranteed the scents will last for at least 2 years - in or

out of the tubes.

* Flavors include rootbeer, pineapple, bubble gum, cherry, cinnamon, fruit punch,

grape, orange, peppermint, and watermelon

* Smencils are a perfectly fun and eco-friendly stocking stuffer!

The way Smencils work for raising money would depend on your group and how much you want to raise on your fundraiser. The usual school group would simply order one or more buckets of Smencils for each member of the group. Students will generally have them sold within a day or two. The group profit is $25.00 for each bucket sold.

Juan Franco, the owner of AIM Fundraising had this to say about the effectiveness of Smencils as a fundraising product, "One group that AIM Fundraising works with orders two buckets of Smencils for each of their members every time report cards come out. So far this year, this group of 15 students has raised $3000.00! The sponsor and the students like it because when report cards come out, all the students in the school know that it is "Smencil Time" again!"

To further illustrate the popularity of Smencils, one simply has to go to Youtube and do a search for "Smencils." There are videos from elementary age kids to adults that are excited about and having fun with Smencils.
