St George's Day for Pink Floyd

Southport, United Kingdom (PressExposure) April 23, 2009 -- 21 years ago, on St George's Day was an end of a milestone for Pink Floyd as their landmark album and one of the best ever musical pieces in music history, Dark Side Of The Moon came off the Billboard charts after spending a considerable amount of time of 741 consecutive weeks which is 14 years.

The album was an epic musical piece that incorporated great guitar and keyboard sounds and lyrics. It featured the well known tracks of Time, Money and Us and Them.

The album sold almost 40 million copies worldwide which makes it third in the list of biggest selling albums of all time underneath, The Eagles Greatest Hits and Micheal Jackson being at the number one spot.

The majority of the lyrics of Dark Side of the Moon were written by Roger Waters. The other Pink Floyd band members are David Gilmour (Guitar and vocals), the late Richard Wright (Keyboard, vocals) and Nick Mason (drums).
