St Maarten's Beaches - A Character Of Their Own

New Haven, CT (PressExposure) May 28, 2009 -- Do you want to go to the beach? At Sint Maarten / St Martin, there are 37 of them to choose from!

Aside from Cupecoy beach, did you know that Sint Maarten has 37 other beaches? The whole island measures 37 square miles, so that means whichever way you turn, whether in Cupecoy in the Dutch side or in the French side, you will see lots of white sandy beaches.

The great thing about St Maarten [] is that each of its beaches has its own character. For example, the Cupecoy beach is a clothing optional beach, with rough waters, so it’s perfect for adults who want to spend a day in the sun without the hassle of bumping with the crowd. The Dawn Beach, also on the Dutch side is more family friendly and is best for beach strolling. However, if you are traveling with young children and toddlers, this is not the best place to go.

For those who are into body surfing and surfing, consider the Guana bay. The beach is large and almost deserted so it’s perfect for people who just want to spend some time alone. One note however: Guana bay is a secluded beach so there are no shades, no bars, no amenities and no service – so it is best you get ready for this trip before you leave your vacation condo. On the French side of the island you will find the Long bay, the so-called extension of Cupecoy. It is the longest stretch of sand in the island and is one of the most quiet and most intimate beaches. It is a favorite among sun worshippers. This is also a secluded beach, so make sure you bring your supplies before you leave from your Caribbean condo.

In the whole of the island, the view of the sunset is spectacular, and even more so when you are one of St Maarten's beaches such as the Cupecoy beach []. Here, you will see the different colors that come out of the sky just as the sun touches the face of the water.

If you own one of the Vacation Condo [] at Porto Cupecoy, the view from the private terrace is the same. So take out a glass of wine now, sit on your terrace and enjoy the beauty of nature.
