Sunshine And Gowtham Forge Innovative Partnership To Launch Gowtham Kids

Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh India (PressExposure) June 10, 2011 -- Tie up with K12 chain to add 70 new locations to Sunshine's network.

In the first ever unique tie up between a Preschool and a K12 chain in the country, Sunshine Preschools and Daycare and Gowtham Model Schools (GMS) today announced a partnership focused on the preschool and daycare segment of the market called Gowtham Kids - powered by Sunshine.

The tie up will see Sunshine & GMS coming together in 70 locations of GMS's existing chain. It will cover all existing and upcoming Gowtham schools in the country, which could see an addition of over 250 new locations over the next 36 months. As part of the tie up, Gowtham's expertise in running schools along with Sunshine's time tested curriculum, study methodologies will be implemented at all Gowtham Kids locations. These services would be offered at very reasonable rates to cater to larger segments of the market.

Intellectual property sharing between the two parties, on methodologies of grooming students from GMS's years of experience and Sunshine's training to preschool staff on curriculum and teaching methods, will enable Gowtham Kids to groom young minds to be better prepared for higher classes later. The tie up will ensure coordinated and systematic efforts to bring out the best in children below 5 years of age and build an emotional bond with each of them that can come from long association with the same institute from preschool till the point of higher education.

GMS's commitment to raise the standards of education for students of AP while helping them get a holistic all round development has been extended to preschools to catch them younger and guide them better. The partnership will serve to increase the quality of preschool education across the state. This also gives Sunshine presence in 100+ locations in Andhra Pradesh alone in a combination of 13 owned centers, 2 corporate in-house centers, 3 franchises, 16 curriculum partnerships and now 70 centers with GMS.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Venkat Narayana, Chairman of K12 said, "As GMS embarks on an aggressive expansion plan, strategic partnerships are being forged and with Sunshine we seek to strengthen our preschools segment, impress upon parents to strike the right balance by sending their tiny tots to a neighborhood school which can look after their needs right until they are ready to go to college."

Adding to the above, Mr Amit Prasad, Vice Chairman and MD of Sunshine Preschools said, "The preschool segment of the market is very fragmented with the mushrooming of new chains and stand alone mom & pop outlets with varying standards. Such tie ups can help consolidate the preschool market across the entire country as we expand beyond AP."
