Charlotte, NC (PressExposure) April 08, 2009 -- Sweet Dreams Childcare caters to parents working the evening, and overnight shifts. They also provide drop-in care for last minute emergencies and special events.
The purpose of Sweet Dreams Childcare is to provide a quality evening and overnight child care experience that will give parents peace of mind while working non-traditional hours, provide a safe haven for children during evenings & overnights, and create a stimulating night-time experience that will satisfy the needs of parents and keep the children of the greater Charlotte area excited about returning each night.
This licensed family childcare opened their doors February 2009. The childcare has limited openings and can accommodate 16 children per day from the ages of 6 weeks -12 years. There are plans for incorporating a parent webcam this summer. Soon parents will be able to check in on their child's activities, anytime.
Delicious, wholesome organic meals are offered along with a non-smoking environment, private community pool and park, before bed story time, and soothing bedtime music, and reasonable rates. Gabbard says âthe children will experience educational and fun activities that are specially designed to engage them in teamwork. I don't just watch children, I schedule fun, structured learning activities.â
Program Director, Christina Gabbard has a background in nursing and has recently completed midwifery studies. She has over 15 years of experience providing care for children, including her own. She is certified in Adult and Infant CPR, Neonatal Resuscitation and First Aid. âAs a mother of three blessings of my own, I truly understand the importance of trusting a provider to care for your child(ren). I completely understand that parents love their children deeply, and need peace of mind that their child(ren) will be safe and in the hands of a care provider that truly cares. At Sweet Dreams Childcare, this is the peace of mind they'll get.â
The new service is a result of parents expressing a need for evening and night childcare services. The city has many parents working second and third shift and the Sweet Dreams project is a welcome addition to the childcare community.
