TEL EPION Implements An ERP System

Billerica, Massachusetts (PressExposure) March 01, 2008 -- From April through November 2007, Pemeco was mandated to oversee an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation project to facilitate management and control of TEL EPION's Massachusetts engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facility.

Pemeco joined TEL EPION's managers and staff to lead four core implementation teams:

* Engineering * Planning, Purchasing, Manufacturing, and Project Control * Sales and Warehousing Logistics * Finance, Costing, and Integration

The core team members were trained on system fundamentals and proceeded through process mapping and piloting during the project phases. In November of 2007, the engineering, manufacturing, planning, logistics, and finance suite of operations were up and running.

Bruce Libby, TEL EPION's Operations Manager, states, "With our aggressive schedule, project team members had to work efficiently, yet quickly. Many worked long hours to complete their day-to-day jobs while continuing to dedicate a significant portion of their extended day to the ERP project. And, it goes without saying, the management consultants chosen to lead these teams had to be top-notch managers, communicators, and technicians."

Louis Steen, President of TEL EPION adds, "Pemeco's 'Milestone Deliverables' philosophy was a key to our success and their senior consultants provided the project guidance, business savvy and technical know-how. Pemeco's dedication ensured the success of our ERP implementation."
