The Return of the Great White Shirt

New York, NE (PressExposure) May 01, 2012 -- The powers that be at Claridge + King knew their new fitted white shirt for women, dubbed The Great White Shirt, was a hitlast fall when it completely sold out nationwide within weeks of its release.

Since the start customers who fell for the duo's original His is Hers® Shirt-a roomy, relaxed boyfriend-style shirt that can be worn in a myriad of ways-made repeated requests for a tailored fitted version in white. Designer LaurannClaridge and her sister Lizbeth King collaborated for nearly a year to develop the crisp, white, dart-less Great White Shirt made with 100 percent fine cotton pinpoint shirting. Appointed with engraved mother-of-pearl buttons with 4-inch single-button cuffs, 3-inch collar points that can be flipped up or down, and a men's style curved shirttail, which extends to a slightly longer back length.

Now C + K has another white shirt for women they've nicknamed The Great White Shirt, No. 2. This version although cut identically to No. 1, features a white grosgrain ribbon that runs the length of the front placket just beneath their engraved mother-of-pearl buttons, as well as down the length of each of the cuff plackets. Subtly embroidered with the Claridge + King script logo fashioned in coordinating white thread at its tail, fans of the G.W.S. now have another style to add to their collection.

The take-anywhere, go-with-nearly-anything tailored Great White Shirt can be dressed up with a pencil, even a ball skirt or dressed way, way down with well-worn jeans.Available at for $118 in sizes xsmall to large.
