Chapel Hill, NC (PressExposure) April 09, 2009 -- In 2008, the college marketing agency UD On Campus (UDOC) had an unmatched year with annual revenue growth of 107%. After its conception in 2005, UDOC has seen consistent and exponential growth. New clients, larger scale campaigns, more student Brand Ambassadors and relationships with universities around the country have contributed to this continued growth.
During the course of 2008, UDOC took on five new accounts (SocialWorld, Facecard, BooKoo, CGS and Kazam) in addition to multiple renewed accounts from previous years. In total, 144 campaigns were conducted on campuses across the nation. These campaigns were executed by over 300 qualified students. UDOC also doubled its full time staff to accommodate the growing number of new accounts.
In 2008, UDOC promoted their clients at 50 back to school events, numerous charity benefits, fraternity and sorority functions, intramural sports games, 5K races and fashion shows. Students who executed these campaigns were pulled from a network of over 1,000 students who are connected to UDOC through various channels.
Megan Kane, Marketing Manager for BYB Brands, Inc. at Coca-Cola Consolidated reflected on her experience with UDOC. Last year, the agency promoted a specialized energy drink and Cinnabon Coffee Lattes on campus for BYB.
"Working with UD On Campus has been a great marketing decision for BYB Brands, Inc. We were extremely pleased with the professional, effective, and creative brand ambassador campaigns executed on college campuses all across the US. The campaign successfully generated buzz and excitement on campus, which has helped to grow our brands significantly."
2009 promises to be just as strong for this college focused marketing and promotions agency, as January brought in the highest monthly revenue in its history. Already, UDOC is working with three new clients this semester: State Farm Insurance, Myrtle Beach Tours and Koofers.
"College markets are proving more immune to the great recession and marketers are catching on." says John O'Brien, president of University Directories, the parent company of UDOC. He continues, "We remain bullish in our projections for 2009. UD On Campus is well equipped with ideas and know-how in reaching this coveted market."
O'Brien also realizes the effect the economy has taken on advertising and marketing budgets. However, he still sees great potential in marketing to young adults in college markets.
"ROI is as important as ever and UD On Campus is ready to deliver exponential results to our clients" O'Brien added. "Brand Managers are recognizing attracting college students is essential to ensure loyal consumers for life."
One of the advantages of the UDOC formula is that it allows its student Brand Ambassadors to gain real world marketing experience while representing big name companies like Bank of America, Adobe and Napster. UDOC realizes that college based campaigns require students who work hard and are enthusiastic. UDOC will recruit, train and manage students throughout the length of a campaign. This allows the clients to reap the benefits of campus exposure without a labor intensive investment.
"We're going after the campus influencers. They can quickly infiltrate their peer networks to create relevant brand awareness," says Alex McComber, UDOC's Managing Director. When choosing Brand Ambassadors to represent clients, UDOC looks for only the best of the best. Brand Ambassadors are always hardworking, outgoing and involved on campus.
"(The internship is) exciting, fast-paced, with just enough challenge to keep it fun! I am constantly meeting new people, making new friends, and solving every day college market needs" said Liz Lineal, one of UDOC's Brand Ambassadors at the University of Miami.
