VERG Is Introducing Their NY Veterinary Cardiologist

Brooklyn, NY (PressExposure) May 22, 2013 -- VERG would like to introduce one of their favorite NY veterinary cardiologists. VERG has been providing emergency care services to pets in the Brooklyn area for over 8 years. Their team has grown over the years and has helped many pet owners recover from illnesses and injuries. One of their team members is Dr. Andrea Lantis who has been part of the VERG team for a few years now and has been able to help many of their clients in need of cardio health.

Originally from Oregon, Andrea attended Willamette University in Salem, Oregon where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 1997 and then Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine earning her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. She completed a rotating internship at the Oregon State University in 2005, and a three-year residency in Cardiology at North Carolina State University, where she was awarded the resident research award by the American College of Internal Medicine in Cardiology her final year of her residency. In 2009, she earned her Diplomate status in cardiology.

Upon completion of her residency, Andrea spent two years in Blacksburg, Virginia where she was an assistant professor of cardiology at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine, and has had the opportunity to speak nationally and internationally.

Professionally, Andrea has a special interest in the management of congestive heart failure, advanced imaging techniques, and interventional cardiology. Andrea and the rest of the VERG team offer many other services as well including: Electrocardiography, Echocardiography, Doppler Studies, Contrast Ecocardiography, Holter Monitoring, Cardiac Event recording, and Cardiac Catheterization.
