While existing water management companies were unable to meet the needs of multi-family residential rental properties, the Water Conservation Specialist LTD (Conserve) company was formed to meet the specific needs of the property. The program results in a savings of 30% to 50% water and sewer cost.
The Conserve program is designed to ensure the lowest amount of water is being consumed on a daily basis by meeting each property's water pressure needs. The staff's property management experience allows them to tailor to each property's need. This program meets 7 out of 14 of the water conservation points the LEED require for conservation certification.
Always looking for new ways to save money, the Conserve will audit the property's billing records according to the local water department's billing structure. Initially the Conserve conducts an audit on the water consumption and sewer charges on each account for the previous 12 months. Negotiations will take place on behalf of the property owner when overcharging errors are found.
There are no out of pocket costs for the program. Because the property works on a 50/50 share basis with the Conserve, there is not a charge for support services, the equipment, billing services or any other fees. After reviewing the property profile, and the saving analysis, a 30 day contract will begin.
After the contract start date, the Conserve technician conducts an in depth property survey and installs patented water conservation equipment. The patented equipment includes a shower head, a kitchen aerator and a bath aerator. On average the equipment reduced water usage by 1,000 gallons per person per apartment per month. The shower head flows at a rate of 1.00 gallon per minute. The kitchen aerator flows at flows at a rate of 0.75 gallon per minute and the bath aerator saves even more water flowing at a rate of 0.50 gallon per minute. The consumption monitoring and reporting happens in real time on a daily basis. The equipment is adjustable and will be adjusted by the local Conserve technician to meet each residents need.
The Conserver Greener Policy promises that the property is not responsible for any charge if the water conservation services do not lower the water and sewer bill.
