1552 Goldcliff Circle Washington, DC (PressExposure) May 12, 2009 -- Every web designer knows that white space is one of the things that should always be considered in web design. If you donât really know what a white space is then just look at the background of this articles if itâs white then thatâs called white space. White space is so important for any website because it makes everything else pop out.
If you studied up on the basics of web design then you should know that every piece in your design should complement your goal and make your main subject rise above the rest. Thatâs right your main goal is to get your viewer to see what you want them to see and not distract them from the purpose of your website. I bet it would really tick you off if youâre reading something interesting and thereâs a big image in the background that makes the text look like a âWhereâs Wally?â cartoon.
According to a san diego web design company, Crest Media Inc., white space isnât only some necessity in the design itself but itâs something that you really canât miss when thinking of the look of your page since a website is still all about content. Thereâs not an instance where you can overlook this element. Although it may manifest in another color like the website Blackle, but it still is the same white space only in black.
Another point to this is that you should never crowd your presentation and the white space on every website does just about that. Even in interior design, having white interiors makes the space bigger, this makes everything else easier to see and navigate around. This also adds to the comfort of the one viewing the space.
You may be wondering why Iâm writing about a trivial thing such as a white space. Well, this is for all the people who want to cram every nook and cranny with an image or fill it with color just because it looks empty. This is to remember that design is about synergy and that everything should have a purpose otherwise it would just be another distraction.
