Dover, MA (PressExposure) October 15, 2008 -- In an era of dwindling margins and shrinking revenues, eEye is proud to offer partners the opportunity to maximize on what used to be a primary factor for choosing to become a partner. The value of being an eEye Digital Security Partner lies in the business opportunity to build a highly profitable business with high margin coming from product sales, professional services and managed service offerings. Partners stand to gain up to 40% margins by teaming with eEye.
eEye partner LockNet, Inc., of La Crosse, WI, provides managed security services to 400 customers and supports more than 2,500 end devices. Security services accounts for 45% of its business. Says Jeff Reiter, vice president of finance, âBusiness has tripled in the last year, largely due to the MSP side of the business, and weâre on pace to double again this year.â
Two levels of partnership (Advisor and Expert) provide the opportunity and flexibility needed to participate in the eEye channel program.
Advisor Level partnership is geared for service providers interested in selling and supporting eEye products with standard requirements and existing infrastructure for selling IT network solutions with security products playing a partial role in the overall partner offering.
Expert Level is intended for service providers that currently derive significant revenue from the sale of security solutions and have a large base of network management and infrastructure clients. Expert level partners are expected to gain sufficient technical knowledge of eEye products and maintain a security focus in order to provide first-line, pre-sale and post sale support.
Both eEye partner levels are able to take advantage of several incentives including web-based sales and technical training at no additional cost, discount opportunities and a deal registration program in the Partner Portal that was created to provide increased profit. Through the deal registration process, partners stand to gain an additional margin of 20%. As part of the new program launch, partners are also able to buy eEye Appliances at a reduced cost in order to provide customer demonstrations and evaluations for a six-month period. Partners are then able to resell the appliances at regular price.
Expert Level Partners, required to earn at least $50,000 in quarterly sales of products or services, receive additional benefits that include a joint go-to-market plan, targeted lead referral program, professional services, a hotline for pre-sales and technical support, co-branded penetration testing services and client presentations, eEye participation at events and seminars as well as not-for-resale product licenses.
âWe enjoy being an eEye partner for several reasons. Their product mix is well defined, making it easy to know exactly what is their value proposition,â said Donnie Downs, president, Plan B Technologies of Bowie, MD. âeEye allows VARs to fit their security tools into broad and multiple solutions sets. From a positioning perspective, where eEye fits in the ecosystem and IT stack allows my company to be more nimble and versatile. I appreciate how they interface with our engineers to map out client projects and marketing campaigns, which makes my sales people work that much better.â
To provide public awareness and understanding of the enhanced partner program, eEye will be holding a 30-minute webcast on October 8th, 2008 at 1:00 pm EDT / 12:00 pm CDT / 10:00 am PDT in which eEye CEO, Kamal Arafeh and other senior executives will discuss the companyâs continued growth in its security and vulnerability management business, investments in delivering affordable security tools and efforts to simplify and extend the benefits of the eEye Partner Program. The Oct. 8 webcast will also include a Q&A session with eEye senior executives.
